How do you play Minecraft from orbit?

The short version: your connection rides our ground fleet up to the satellite whenever it's overhead. Here's the loop.

Continuous play, or only during passes?

Sessions run during scheduled passes while the satellite is over a ground station. Between passes the world holds its state on board.

Java or Bedrock?

Java is the working assumption. The final call gets made when the flight computer locks.

How many player slots?

Small rotating groups drawn from the whitelist. Orbital compute is precious, so early sessions stay tight.

What happens when the satellite is out of range?

The session pauses and nothing is lost. World state persists on board until the next contact window.

Does the world keep running between passes?

The world is preserved, not ticking. Every pass ends with a sync down to the ground fleet, which is the permanent archive.

Who gets access first?

The whitelist, in order. Ground playtest invites come first, orbital slots after.

All of the above is the current plan for a mission in active development. When reality overrules a detail, the whitelist hears it first.
